L.N Mithila University, Darbhanga is going to conduct the WIT Darbhanga entrance exam 2019 for B.Tech admission. It is a 4 year program in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) and Bioinformatics (BI) and 3 year Masters in Computer Appliance (MCA) for the academic session 2019-2020. WIT Darbhanga Entrance Exam 2019 (CAT) for B.tech Admission

The candidate who are interested  and want to appear for the exam to get the admission in L.N Mithila University they need to qualify the exam. To apply for the exam the candidates need to ensure their eligibility to attempt the exam. Eligible students can apply for the entrance exam from the first week of June 2019. Aspiring candidates can apply for the CAT exam 2019 on the official website i.e. witlmnu.ac.in or direct link will be provided on the page as soon as released officially. Eligibility Criteria

To get admission in B.Tech Information Technology (IT), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Bioinformatics (BI) is open for all the interesting women/girl student having :l

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board/Council either with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) for IT/CSE/EEE/BI or with Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics (PCB/M) for BI only with at least 45% (40% for reserved category) aggregate marks in PCM/PCB.
  • Passed in English at 10+2 or equivalent level.

Lateral Entry to B.Tech. in Information Technology(IT) and Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is open to all Girl/Women students having :

  • Passed Diploma examination in a relevant branch from a recognized University/Institute with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology.
  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

PG course in Master of Computer Application (MCA): for academic session 2018-19 is open to all Girl/Women students:

  • Having a recognized 50% (45% for reserved category) marks at the graduate level
  • Having passed in mathematics as one of the subjects at the +2 level of the 10+2 pattern/International or equivalent Examination.
  • Having Hons. Degree in subjects other (BCA) graduates are also eligible for the admission.

Note: All the candidate who are applying for the entrance exam of B.Tech ensure that they are able to meet the given eligibility criteria . In case, any applicant who are not eligible and yet applied for the exam, his candidature will be cancelled.

Application Form

The candidates who are interested and are willing to give an attempt for the exam can apply for the exam from the First Week of April 2019.To register yourselves applicants need to apply through online mode. Aspiring candidates need give their personal as well as their qualification and required information while registering their name for the exam. Also, give your valid phone number and email id to get all the updates about the important events and dates etc.

Admit Card

The applicants who will apply for the exam and register their name will only be able to get the admit card. It is compulsory fir the candidates to register their names by filling the application form provided by the university. The applicants need to download the admit card from the official website and also they can prefer the direct available on this page.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus (CAT)

Before attempting any exam the candidate need to know the pattern and syllabus for appearing in it. The exam will be of 2 hours and 15 minutes which contain total 150 multiple type questions (MCQ). There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

For admission in first year of B.Tech program, CAT-2019 will be of 3 papers:

For admission to the second year of B.Tech through Lateral Entry in CSE and IT programs of Engineering the CAT-2019, if held (subject to the adequate number of applicants), will be of 3 papers:

To qualify the exam the University fixed minimum qualifying marks for a candidate to be successfully qualifying at the Entrance Test.

After the exam the result will be declared by the conducting body of exam through the official website of the University. The candidate who appeared can check their result online by login their id with credentials.Applicants also can take a printout of their result at the time of admission they it will be required. The merit will be prepare by the university and will be available on website in Fourth Week of June, 2019. So, all the respective candidates can check their scores.


Reservation seats (Permanent) given by the government of Bihar shall be made as per the existing rules of the government.

10% seats are reserved under NRI/Payment quota seats. 5% of seats are reserved for wards of permanent employees of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga (wife and unmarried daughter), Ward Certificate from Employer and affidavit of the employee must be enclosed with Application Form.
